LandedGo

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about LandedGo — the AI concierge, maps, cards, and intelligence for anyone living or traveling in Southeast Asia.

Getting started

What is LandedGo?

LandedGo is the operating system for life in Southeast Asia — an AI concierge, offline maps, destination cards, visa and days tracking, scam alerts, and community intelligence, together in one product built for how people actually move through the region.

Is LandedGo an app?

Yes. You add LandedGo from your phone or computer’s web browser to your home screen — the same way you would save any website shortcut, then open it like a stand-alone app. It opens full screen like a native app, with no browser address bar. You do not install it from the Apple App Store or Google Play, which is how we keep prices fair and updates fast.

How do I install it?

You install LandedGo from your web browser: open landedgo.com, then use your browser's Add to Home Screen (or Install) option. Step-by-step instructions for iPhone, Android, and desktop are on our install guide.

Which countries and cities does LandedGo cover?

LandedGo covers 8 countries and 44 cities at launch. Vietnam: HCMC, Hanoi, Da Nang, Hoi An, and more. Thailand: Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Koh Samui, and more. Indonesia: Bali, Canggu, Ubud, Seminyak. Malaysia: Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru. Philippines: Manila, Cebu, Boracay, El Nido. Singapore, Cambodia (Phnom Penh, Siem Reap), and Laos (Vientiane, Luang Prabang, Vang Vieng).

Is LandedGo free?

There is a generous free tier — including 3 destination cards, 5 AI concierge queries per day, access to public scam alert content, and the emergency button, which is always free. Deeper use is unlocked with add-ons: Arrival Kit at $8.99 per city, City Pass at $24.99 per city, and Pro Annual at $99/year for the full product across all current and future launch cities.

Do I need internet to use LandedGo?

Most features — including the AI concierge and live map layers — require an internet connection. You can download maps on Wi-Fi before you travel so they work offline, and saved destination cards can be read without connectivity. The AI concierge always needs network access to run.

AI concierge

What can I ask the AI concierge?

Almost anything about your current city and journey— where to stand for Grab, typical taxi fares, which scams to watch for, which hospitals or clinics to use, ATMs, coworking, food, neighborhoods, and cultural “how do I not look like a tourist on day one” questions. The concierge is tuned to local life, not generic travel blog fluff.

How accurate is the AI?

LandedGo grounds answers in 100+ verified local facts per city, updated on a regular cadence. The model can still be wrong: always double-check immigration, tax, and medical decisions with official sources and professionals.

Can the AI give me visa advice?

Only general information — never a substitute for legal or immigration advice. Rules change and depend on your nationality. Confirm everything with the embassy, immigration authority, or a qualified adviser before you act.

Does the AI remember my previous conversations?

Yes, where you allow it, the product uses your profile context— nationality, city, journey stage, and what you've already asked — to keep answers relevant and personal. It is not a public chat: other users do not see your history.

Destination cards

What is a destination card?

A destination card is a hand-off you show to a driver or anyone you need directions from: the place name in the local script of your city (Vietnamese, Thai, Bahasa, Khmer, Lao, and more), a short pronunciation note, and a phrase they can read at a glance. It removes the “where are we going?” negotiation at the kerb — in any of the 8 countries LandedGo covers.

How do I generate a destination card?

Open the Cards tab, type any place or address in English, then tap Generate. The card is built for the city you are in, with the right script and phrasing.

Are destination cards saved?

Yes. Saved cards sit in your account and are available offline once downloaded — so you can show them in a taxi with no data.

How many destination cards can I generate?

On the free tier: 3 cards. With Arrival Kit or City Pass for a city: unlimited for that city. Pro: unlimited across all covered cities, subject to fair use to protect the service.

Maps

How do offline maps work?

On Wi-Fi before you travel or after you arrive, you download the full offline map for your city. After that, you can move around the base map without a mobile data connection. Some live overlays still need the internet.

How much storage do offline maps use?

Approximate pack sizes: Ho Chi Minh City ~180 MB, Bangkok ~220 MB, Hanoi ~120 MB, Chiang Mai ~80 MB, and other supported cities about ~70 MB each (figures vary with updates; check in-app for the current download size).

What do the map markers mean?

Red H = hospital, Green ATM = ATM (often with lower-fee options where we have data), Blue S = SIM / connectivity vendor, Emerald G = Grab or official pickup context, Purple C = coworking. Legend is also shown inside the map where available.

Safety & scams

What scam information does LandedGo provide?

Each city has a scam and risk intelligence layer: known patterns, how they present at the airport or in a taxi, and practical avoidance tactics. Community-reported signals are layered on top, reviewed where needed, and the database is refreshed weekly as a baseline.

What is the emergency button?

One tap from the app shell opens local emergency numbers, a short in-language help phrase you can show to someone, options to share your approximate location where the platform allows, and directions toward the nearest known hospital from our data layer. It is designed for stress, not menus.

Is the emergency button free?

Always free. It is never locked behind a subscription or a paywall. If you are in trouble, the button works the same on day one and on Pro.

Visa & days tracker

What does the Days Tracker do?

It logs your entry and exit dates across all eight countries LandedGo covers — Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Cambodia, and Laos. For Thailand: calculates cumulative days toward the 180-day tax-residency threshold with alerts at 150, 170, and 180 days. For Vietnam: tracks permit validity and 90-day reporting deadlines. For all other countries in that list: tracks stay duration against visa validity limits. Not legal or tax advice — your immigration and tax position always needs a professional. The tool is a planning aid.

What is the 90-day reporting requirement?

Vietnam requires foreigners on certain long-stay permits to report in person to their local ward police station every 90 days. Thailand requires foreigners on long-stay visas (including Non-Immigrant and DTV) to file a TM-47 90-day report at an immigration office or online. LandedGo runs the 90-day countdown from your last report and provides step-by-step guidance in plain language. Always follow the current official process — rules change. This is not immigration advice.

Does LandedGo give visa advice?

General information only — not immigration or legal advice. Always verify with official sources and qualified professionals before you book flights or overstay.

Privacy & security

Does LandedGo sell my data?

No. We do not sell your personal data, we do not run third-party advertising in the product, and we do not share your information with advertisers. See also our Privacy Policy and Security pages.

What data does LandedGo store?

Typically: account email, profile and preference data, destination cards you create, and community content you choose to submit. We do not store a continuous log of your precise GPS path — when location is used, it is at a neighbourhood or city context level, as described in our policies.

Is my document vault secure?

Files you place in the vault are encrypted on your device before they leave it. That means LandedGo cannot read the raw contents of those documents in the way we can read a plain text note — even for support, without your keys.

Pricing & subscriptions

What is included in Pro Annual?

$99 / year (subject to local pricing in app)all cities, unlimited AI, the visa tracker and Days tracker (as released for your account), tax-style day monitoring in Thailand with threshold alerts where the feature is on for you, document vault and healthcare triage as we ship them, offline map packs in every current city, the real-time community intel feed, and every new city at launch while your subscription is active, subject to fair use. The checkout screen in the app is the source of truth.

Can I get a refund?

All purchases are final. We do not offer refunds. If something technical is stopping you from using the service, reach us through the contact page and we will work to resolve it.

What payment methods are accepted?

Major credit and debit cards are processed by Stripe. Apple Pay and Google Pay are available in regions and browsers where Stripe exposes them. We never store your full card number on our servers.

Technical

Why does LandedGo use a PWA instead of a native app?

LandedGo is a website you can install to your home screen instead of downloading from an app store. That way we avoid large store fees (often passed on to you as higher prices), we can ship improvements as soon as they are ready, and one product works the same on iPhone, Android, and desktop. You get from a link to a full-screen app in a minute, without a separate download store.

Does LandedGo work on Android?

Yes. Use Chrome (recommended) on a recent Android version, add to home screen, and you get the full experience including offline map downloads where supported.

Does LandedGo work on desktop?

Yes. Use a current version of Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox on Windows or Mac. You can pin a shortcut, and many browsers let you open LandedGo in an app-style window (full screen, no address bar) — the same install idea as on your phone. If something looks wrong, try the latest browser update.
